American Bill: Getting it Truly Right

In a recent report under the title “Getting it Right” regarding an american proposed Bill, the Greek American lawyer A. Tsimpedes was quoted that the Bill “equates the puppet pseudo-state with a government”, which in effect was interpreted as meaning that the Bill recognizes the pseudo-state in the occupied part of Cyprus as a separate government (of its own). In fact, the American Hellenic Institute (AHI) that presumable initiated and supports the Bill commented on this giving to Mr Tsimpedes´ statement the same meaning. For anyone that wants to get it truly right, the Greek American lawyer stated something quite different from the above meaning. This is clear from his full statement but also from a carefull reading even of the above short and “isolated” phrase (Why?). His strong opinion is that the Bill DOES NOT recognize the pseudo-state as such. Not on its face. The “Turkish Republic of North Cyprus” or simply  “TRNC” is NOT a recognised state, but operates illegally in the USA through an enterprise, an “unincorporated association” as stated in the Bill. The Bill eliminates the illegitimacy arising from the presence of the pseudo state in the US  under this “unincorporated association” called "TRNC" by imputing it to Turkey.

The above is not a claim nor anybody´s subjective interpretation. It is in the  Definitions´ of the proposed Bill, where it is stated the "unincorporated association” known as the “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus" means Turkey or the Republic of Turkey. By doing so, the Bill eliminates the illegitimacy arising from the undisputed fact that the pseudo state called "TRNC" is NOT a recognised state that operates illegally through this enterprise. In effect, under the proposed Bill, the presence and operation of the pseudo state acting through this association, becomes NO MORE illegal in the US. In addition, this illegal association attains all the privileges and protection assigned to a lawful and recognised state (Turkey). This is exactly what Tsimpedes expressed in his full statement that was narrowed to the phrase “the Bill equates the puppet pseudo-state with a government”.

People in Cyprus understand how the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) imputed to Turkey the Irremovable Properties Commission (IPC) established by the pseudo state. The Court provided a recognized, lawful and governmental status to the IPC but NOT to the pseudo state on its face. This is what is happening with the Bill that imputes the "unincorporated association” known as the “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus´" to Turkey, without recognising the pseudo state. Is this what the people of Cyprus want?   

Again, this is very similar to the “Committee” (IPC), where Turkey has  now a recognized national remedy on the territory of the ROC.  In effect, Turkey's sovereign status on the Republic of Cyprus would allow an expropriation of the Greek Cypriot lands regardless of the true Greek Cypriot owner of the titles.

2. Επισυνάπτω κείμενό μου στα Αγγλικά που δημοσιεύεται σήμερα Παρασκευή 26.8.2011 στην εβδομαδιαία εφημερίδα "Cyprus Weekly". Το κείμενο αφορά τη νομική μάχη που ξεκίνησε στις ΗΠΑ εναντίον του ψευδοκράτους και επιδιώκει να αποκαταστήσει τις πραγματικότητες γύρω από το Νομοσχέδιο Αριθμός 2597.

3. Επισυνάπτω άλλο άρθρο μου που θα δημοσιευτεί στον κυπριακό τύπο ("Φιλελεύθερο" και "Σημερινή") όπου επιχειρώ να ενημερώσω, να προβληματίσω αλλά και να αποκαταστήσω τις πραγματικότητες σε όσους καλόπιστα δυνατόν να συγχίζονται από τις εξελίξεις ή διάφορα σχόλια γύρω από τη μάχη που ξεκίνησε στις ΗΠΑ.

4. Τέλος, ο καθένας μπορεί να προωθήσει αυτό το μήνυμα παντού. Μπορεί επίσης να μελετήσει και υπογράψει ηλεκτρονικά την αντίθεσή του στο Νομοσχέδιο Αριθμός 2597 στις ΗΠΑ, με το οποίο η παράνομη "εταιρεία/οργανισμός" μέσω του οποίου λειτουργεί το ψευδοκράτος στις ΗΠΑ, νομιμοποιείται και αναγνωρίζεται ως επίσημος αντιπρόσωπος της Τουρκίας στις ΗΠΑ και πλέον αποκτά τα προνόμια και την προστασία (μαζί και ασυλία) ενός αναγνωρισμένου κράτους. Προσωπικά έχω ήδη προσυπογράψει την αντίθεση μου στο Νομοσχέδιο, παίρνει λιγότερο από 1 λεπτό και είναι δωρεάν (δεν υπάρχει καμιά υποχρέωση για εισφορά).
